All volunteers are 16 or older with a valid driver's license. Everyone starts at step one, and each step builds on the last.
Why is there a fee for volunteer training?
Working safely around horses requires more than good intentions. It requires the right knowledge and preparation. Because our volunteers work hands-on with large animals, Equestrian Bridges takes training and safety seriously.
EB has invested in developing our training program using guidance and practices from highly respected horsemen and equine professionals, so our volunteers learn the safest, most effective ways to handle, communicate with, and care for our horses.
Your training fee helps support this education while giving you the skills and confidence to safely serve our participants, our horses, and our mission.
Finishing a training doesn't automatically move you up. Before advancing, you'll show you're ready and be signed off by our team.
